Drone Services Pricing Details
Here is a bit more insight on pricing for aerial media and data capture. Every project is different but we categorize our pricing according to the level of effort required to get the job done right.

Drone Services Pricing for Media Capture
Drone Services Pricing
Our drone media capture services start at $399.00, plus travel costs to and from each project location.
What sets us apart is that our aerial photography pricing isn’t just about flying a drone—it’s about ensuring we capture exactly what you need. Every project begins with a thorough review of your operations and objectives, so the final deliverables hit the mark. Every project price also includes:

Airspace approvals and regulatory compliance
Equipment preparation, mobilization, and demobilization
A highly skilled, Transport Canada Advanced Operations-certified pilot
Data management and secure delivery
Full protection with $5M aviation liability and $5M commercial general liability insurance

Drone Inspections Services Cost
Curious About Drone Inspection Pricing?
Our drone inspections start at $1,199.00, with final costs depending on the type of inspection, equipment required, site complexity, risk factors, and overall level of effort.
While inspection flights share similarities with media capture, they go further. Drone inspections demand specialized equipment, skilled pilots, dedicated visual observers, tested workflows, advanced software, and expert knowledge to deliver accurate, reliable results.
Because many inspections take place in high-risk environments near valuable assets, safety and protection are paramount. That’s why we carry $5 million in aviation liability and $5 million in commercial general liability insurance—giving our clients complete peace of mind.
We’ve successfully completed inspections on:
Wind turbines
Dams and bridges
Telecom and radio towers
Building facades and roofs
Construction sites
Industrial boilers, flare stacks, and water towers
Beyond inspections, we’ve also delivered detailed mapping and surveying for numerous development projects.

Drone Mapping, and Surveying
Drone Mapping & Surveying Pricing
Our drone-based mapping and surveying services start at $1,999, with pricing broken into two main components:
Operations Fee (flat rate)
Processing Fee (per acre + additional features as required)
The operations fee is fixed, while processing costs depend on the project’s size, complexity, and the level of detail included in the AutoCAD deliverables.
For straightforward rural mapping projects, pricing averages around $35 per acre. More complex as-built feature extraction projects typically range from $60–$80 per acre.
Because every project is unique, total costs can vary. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to share your project details with us—we’ll provide a fast, tailored quote.

Drone Services Pricing: Tailored to Your Project
When it comes to drone services pricing, there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all—especially for complex projects that demand advanced data processing and analysis. At Recon Aerial Calgary, we don’t just capture drone footage—we transform it into actionable insights through AI-driven analysis, advanced processing, and expert reporting.
One example: we delivered a first-of-its-kind project for SNC-Lavalin and Ontario Power Generation, mapping damage on a remote hydroelectric dam. The workflow included flight planning, precision data collection, AI-powered defect detection, and engineering review—over 300 hours of effort. The outcome? A detailed damage map, engineering reports, and AutoCAD diagrams that secured funding for critical repairs.
Because projects like this are highly specialized, pricing can vary significantly. Factors such as project complexity, equipment required, regulatory approvals, data interpretation, and site location all play a role. While costs can range from $5K to $100K+, every quote is customized to your needs.
Examples of High-End Drone Services
Wind turbine blade inspections – AI-powered defect detection down to the millimeter
Dam & bridge inspections – Complete with defect markups and reporting
Land development mapping – Georeferenced overlays for site development, as-builts, and urban planning
Whether you need inspections, mapping, or custom data analysis, Recon Aerial Calgary delivers expert solutions with transparent, value-driven pricing.
Let’s talk about your project and find the best approach for you.

Yes, sometimes. We do not fly in the rain, and sometimes it can be too windy to fly. However, we plan well ahead to minimize any schedule changes.
We like to have a week in advance of the work in order to plan the operation properly and discuss all details. Of course, sometimes we're able to do it within a few days. For work in class F restricted airspace we need a minimum of two weeks to get the required permissions.
